 Museo Pumapungo

El Museo Pumapungo, ubicado en Cuenca, Ecuador, exhibe artefactos arqueológicos que representan la historia de las culturas Cañari e Inca. Forma parte del complejo Pumapungo, que incluye ruinas arqueológicas al aire libre, como antiguas piscinas y terrazas agrícolas. Además de ofrecer una mirada a la rica herencia precolombina, el museo proporciona espacios verdes y jardines para la contemplación.



At present, the Pumapungo Museum integrates services such as the Ethnography Room, with its permanent exhibitions "Tsantsas: lost myth, ritual and tradition" and "Spiritualities and ritualities. Power, ritual and healing: cosmovision of the shaman"; the Archaeology Room "Pumapunku: Worlds of Memory", the "Víctor Manuel Albornoz" Library with its documentary collection, newspaper library, historical documentary and photographic archives, audiovisual collection; the "Guillermo Larrazábal" Hall and 2 temporary exhibition halls; the Community Hall, the Pumapungo Theater, the Archaeological and Ethnobotanical Park, the Bird Rescue Center, the Children's Playroom and the ethnography, sculpture, contemporary art and painting reserve areas.
